We are located at 49 Main Street, Ōtaki in the historic former Bank of New Zealand building (1918), right in the centre of town.
The museum is open Thursday, Friday & Saturday: 10am – 2pm, except public holidays.
Entry to the museum is free of charge.
Koha is welcome and supports exhibitions, journals, education programmes, and collection care.
What’s on
The museum hosts talks, community events, exhibition launches, and heritage activities throughout the year. Events include:
- New exhibition launches
- Heritage clue hunts
- Book releases and journal launches
Our volunteers also welcome education sessions, guided exhibition tours, and heritage activities for schools, kura, and community groups.
